The Kleenoil Bypass Filter is an addition filter installed on any engine or hydraulic system that passes only a small portion of the total oil flow through a very dense filter cartridge at about 2 to 3 litres per minute. At this speed, it is possible to remove particles down to 1 micron nominally and 99.9% of water, greatly decreasing engine wear and prolonging oil life. By eliminating water and particle contamination, the Kleenoil Bypass Filter system can extend oil life up to five times and hydraulic oil life up to ten times, reduce engine and component wear, and dramatically reduce downtime.

Before you install your new Kleenoil Bypass Filter System it is recommended that you take a sample which will provide you with a baseline of the contaminants currently in your oil. Once you have installed you new Kleenoil System and have run a full cycle on the fresh oil, another sample should be taken to ensure the particulates are being removed.
An added benefit of continuously testing your oil is early detection of issues like fuel dilution or abnormal engine wear.
All the oil samples that we collect are sent to Metro Tech Systems in Calgary Alberta.
